Rosemary Ketchum:

A Candidate Who Cares

Connector. Change Maker.

Wheeling needs a leader who cares about making meaningful connections in the community. Though recent progress has been made in the way of economic development, infrastructure and parks and recreation, we have a long way to go to keep Wheeling a city that both keeps a thriving population and attracts newcomers. Rosemary is committed to achieving a balance between promoting what is already so incredible about this community and championing the change that benefits Wheeling most.

Boots on the ground support is a cornerstone of Rosemary’s approach. She has been involved in the community for over a decade. From cleaning the streets with Volunteer Wheeling to providing on the ground support for Wheeling’s Arts Festival, actively supporting historical preservation, and creating a platform to support to our most vulnerable citizens—Rosemary is not a typical politician—she is a doer. A fact that should not be taken lightly about Rosemary is that she walks the walk when it comes to government transparency by showing up as the most accessible City Council member in recent years. For example, she:

• Holds regular office hours on Tuesdays in Centre Market from 11AM to 1PM;

• Provides her personal cellphone number to constituents; and

• Has door knocked in the community outside of election times to proactively ask about and address constituent concerns, a fact no other candidate of this mayoral election can claim.

With a Bachelor of Science from Wheeling University, Rosemary was not only born and raised in Wheeling, but educated locally. For the past four years, she has served as a member of the City Council of Wheeling, representing Ward 3. She also serves as the Chief Operations Officer of the holistic youth wellness coalition, Edible Mountain.

Since connecting is her passion, Rosemary hopes you will reach out to share your vision for the city or to express any concerns.
